Poster Session
The poster session will take place on 20 August in the frame of an apéro. All posters are to be mounted on Wednesday morning.
The three most outstanding posters will be awarded with a "Best Poster Prize". It is required that at least the first author of the poster is personally present at the conference in order to be eligible for the award.
A fourth poster prize will be sponsored by the SFB BeyondC for posters submitted to their own session.
The maximum poster size is A0 (portrait).
Award Ceremony
As in every year, outstanding scientific work will be honored with the SPS awards in the fields of General Physics (sponsored by ABB Research Center), Condensed Matter Physics (sponsored by IBM Zürich Research Laboratory), Metrology (sponsored by METAS), Computational Physics (sponsored by COMSOL), Energy Technology (sponsored by Hitachi Energy), Sensing, Detection and Monitoring (sponsored by Sensirion) and Quantum Science and Technology (sponsored by ID Quantique). Each award is granted with CHF 5000.-.
Furthermore the winners of the Charpak-Ritz award and the several winners of ÖPG awards will also be honored.
The award ceremony will be held on 19 August at 11:00h.
Young Minds Get-Together
The Young Minds (YM) Get-Together at the ÖPG-SPS Annual Meeting offers young researchers in physics a valuable opportunity to network in an open and scientifically enriching environment. Personal exchange plays a central role in scientific collaboration - especially at a time when digital and AI-generated content is becoming increasingly present. This event aims to create connections, stimulate discussion and lay the foundations for future collaborations.
